> Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced full-time pharmacist to join our team at Trustee Drugs Inc. The successful candidate will prepare and dispense prescriptions, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and provide exceptional customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of pharmacy practice.
> Key Responsibilities:
- Prescription Preparation:
- Accurately enter patient information, including demographics, drug allergies, pharmaceutical history, and prescription orders, into the computer system for processing.
- Dispense medications to customers and manage third-party insurance claims.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to all government programs and laws related to pharmacy practice, including Medicaid, Medicare Part D, and HIPAA regulations.
- Medication Management:
- Perform medication therapy management (MTM) and maintain accurate records of controlled substances.
- Consult with customers regarding their prescriptions and over-the-counter medications.
- Customer Service:
- Engage with customers to address their needs and assist in maintaining current and accurate computer files on pricing and product information.
- Execute strategies to attract and retain front-end customers.
- Pharmacy Operations:
- Order, receive, stack, and rotate pharmaceutical products and supplies.
- Maintain a safe and organized pharmacy area, reporting any hazards to management.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients to meet customer needs.
- Stay informed about the latest pharmacy products and governing laws.
> Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited institution.
- Active pharmacist license in the state of Georgia.
- Immunization certification is required.
- Certification in medication therapy management (MTM) is preferred.
- Successful completion of a background screening.
